Ask Selah to find the verse, now on Selah Plus.
Added
Ask Selah to find the verse, now on Selah Plus.
When you type words as you remember them into a scripture block and no verse contains those exact words, one click asks Selah to work out what you meant. This was on for one account during testing. It is now on for every Plus member, in the scripture block and in "Convert to scripture" from the selection toolbar. Finding a verse by its reference, or by words that really are in it, stays free for everyone and is not affected.
Changed
On the free plan, the same button tells you what it is.
Instead of hiding it, the block shows a short explanation and a link to Plus. You still get every verse the free search can find.
Chat and Telegram keep answering when the primary model is rate-limited.
Fixed
Chat and Telegram keep answering when the primary model is rate-limited.
When OpenRouter reports the main chat model as temporarily rate-limited, the companion now falls back to a second model for that turn instead of failing. Before this, every web chat message and every Telegram message failed for as long as the limit lasted.
Highlighting a verse twice now replaces the first highlight on iOS.
Before, two overlapping highlights were saved.
- The iOS Reader keeps your place when you switch translations.
Notes can be deleted on iOS.
Swipe in the list or use Delete inside the editor.
- Tapping Chat after selecting a verse now opens a usable composer on iOS.
- Captures on iOS offer a "Make a note" option.
- Prayer creation on iOS now saves correctly and no longer loses a failed write.
- Force-quitting the app before sign-in is complete now returns you to the sign-in screen when you reopen, instead of leaving you stuck.
- Several small iOS fixes: the composer no longer floats above the keyboard, the minimized chat chip stays above the tab bar, the sign-in screen is full width with real Terms and Privacy links, and voice capture says what went wrong when recording fails.
Added
Bookmarks are in the iOS Reader.
Tap the ribbon in the top bar to save the current chapter, or select a verse and choose Bookmark. Your bookmarks appear in the passage picker next to Recent.
A Highlights panel is now in the iOS Reader dock.
Browse your marks by category, toggle categories to filter what shows on the page, and create, rename, or delete categories.
Changed
The iOS Reader dock is now Study · Notes · Highlights, one card at a time.
Highlights moved out of the Study sheet into its own card — your marks are in one place instead of two.
The reading plan in iOS is a persistent bar at the top of the Reader.
It steps through a multi-passage day. The last step records the day and triggers the streak. Dismiss it until tomorrow.
The iOS Journal shows today's reading as the first row of the day
, with your passage, plan progress, and a Read button. The Journal and Reader now use the same source, so they always agree on what today's reading is. New accounts see a getting-started checklist; readers who are behind see a nudge to catch up.
Word study uses the same source at every level.
A tapped word, the verse tab, and the chapter tab all use your translation's tags when they exist, and KJV — labeled — when they don't. It never guesses.
Selection actions are in a consistent order on iOS.
The action bar and system menu both say: Highlight · Capture · Study · Chat · Bookmark · Copy · Share. "Thought" is now "Capture" and "Discuss" is now "Chat."
- Chats on iOS is a full page, not a drawer.
Typing a verse range into a note captures the whole thing.

Typing a verse range into a note captures the whole thing.
Writing
Psalm 2:3-5at a normal pace used to stop atPsalm 2— the rest of the reference was left out, and the only ways around it were typing very fast or cutting and re-pasting the line. It now waits for the full reference and underlines all of it.A scripture reference you place yourself looks like one you can tap.
Placing a verse inside a sentence left it as plain text, while a reference Selah spotted on its own got the dashed underline. Both look and behave the same now, in notes you are writing and in notes you have shared. The verse card that opens on tap also matches, instead of having slightly different corners depending on which one you tapped.
A verse reference written across two lines stays two lines.
Pressing shift-return between a chapter and what followed could join them into one reference that underlined the line break.
An empty scripture block no longer stays in your note.
Adding one and then clicking away left a blank box behind, and it saved with the note.
Changed
Finding a verse by how you remember it now works for everyone.
The scripture block shows matching verses with their text as you type, so you can see you have the right one before you place it. Typing words you remember — "for god so loved the world" — finds the verse, not just an exact address like
John 3:16. Both were previously limited to a small test group.
Notes enter the study graph reliably again when the AI provider is briefly rate-limited.
Fixed
Notes enter the study graph reliably again when the AI provider is briefly rate-limited.
A rate limit upstream was mistaken for a real answer, so the note was marked failed and its concepts were duplicated instead of matched. It now retries like any other brief outage, and falls back to a second model while the first is busy.
Chat titles come back instead of staying blank.
The title step could spend its whole budget thinking and return nothing. It no longer does, so new chats get a title again.
Concept summaries stop cutting off mid-sentence
for the same reason.
New welcome screen on iOS.
Added
New welcome screen on iOS.
The first time you open the app, you can start exploring without an account — read a chapter or start a reading plan right away. If you already have an account, one tap takes you straight to sign-in.
Upgrade to Selah Plus from inside the iOS app.
When you reach a feature that needs Plus, a new upgrade screen shows annual and monthly options, what's included, and a way to restore a previous purchase from your App Store account.
Fixed
Reading plans, Belief map, and Daily message on iOS now prompt you to sign in
if you're browsing without an account, instead of opening and silently failing.
Signing out after using the "Sign in" door on the welcome screen now goes to sign-in
, not back to the welcome screen.
The intro slideshow on iPad and in landscape now snaps to the correct card
when you swipe.
Reporting a bad answer now asks what went wrong.
Fixed
Reporting a bad answer now asks what went wrong.
On the web, Report sent no reason at all — so every web report was filed as "other", and web is where reports come from. Tapping Report now offers the same three reasons the iOS app already asks for: inaccurate, harmful, unhelpful.
Selah knows what day it is.
It had no idea — ask it to pull up "the note from Sunday" or "what I wrote last week" and it would tell you it had no way to know when that was, and ask you to narrow it down. Every date you can say out loud now works: today, yesterday, a weekday, last week, this month.
Download recording.
Added
Download recording.
The recording page's "..." menu now has a "Download recording" option that saves the original audio file.
Fixed
The recording page's menu items stopped working.
Clicking anything in the left sidebar while on a recording — Notes, Home, Reader, anything — silently did nothing. An unmemoized object handed to the mobile nav hook was re-firing on every render, pegging the page in a render loop that starved every click handler.
The companion couldn't see a note's own transcript.
Asked to compare a note against its recording, it replied it had no access — even though the recording was sitting right there, connected to the note. It now reads the transcript automatically, and the reverse case (chatting from a recording's own page) now pulls in that recording's linked note the same way.
Long companion messages could fail with "Couldn't reach the companion."
A pasted transcript or any message needing more than two minutes to think through got cut off mid-stream by a route timeout shorter than the engine's own budget.
An old, unrelated companion conversation could silently pick up whatever note or recording you'd last glanced at.
The dock keeps conversations open across page navigation by design — but browsing to a different note or recording, then replying in an older thread, used to attach that page's content to the older thread too, even though you never meant to bring it into that conversation.
The table-of-contents rail (and the find/replace bar, link popover, selection toolbar, and slash-command menu) stayed pinned to the screen edge instead of the note itself.
Opening the Connections panel on a note pushed these past its own edge instead of moving with it.
The recording page's template tabs (Overview, Sermon, Transcript) had no styling
— plain unstyled buttons. They now read as proper selectable tabs, and the Copy/Regenerate actions sit right under them instead of below a long transcript.
Selah can now search your notes on any turn.
Fixed
Selah can now search your notes on any turn.
Note search was only handed to the companion when the turn's wording looked like a note request — so if it turned out mid-answer that your own writing was relevant, it had no way to look, and would say so. It could already read a note by id and list notes by date at any time; only search-by-meaning was withheld. It no longer is.
Note search returns up to 10 notes instead of 3, and tells you what it left out.
Three was the budget for the notes Selah pulls in the background on every turn, quietly reused for searches you actually asked for. And when 23 notes matched, you were shown a few with no indication the others existed — which reads as "that's everything I've written on this." It now says how many matched and offers to narrow.
