Concept summaries no longer say "I don't have enough context."
Fixed
Concept summaries no longer say "I don't have enough context."
Some concepts on the Knowledge page showed an AI message explaining it couldn't write a summary, instead of a summary. Those messages are no longer saved. When a new summary can't be written, the concept keeps the one it already has.
The Generate button on a concept
no longer erases its summary when there is nothing to summarize yet. It keeps what you had.
Changed
Sync on the Knowledge page finishes sooner.
New concept summaries now appear within a minute of a sync instead of during it.
Concept summaries are written by a lighter model.
The wording stays in the same short, one-or-two-sentence style, and your own words still come first on a concept.
"Back to where you were" in the Reader.
Added
"Back to where you were" in the Reader.
Follow a cross-reference, tap a verse in a note, or open a passage from bookmarks or search and a "← Back to..." chip appears under the top bar. Tap it to return to your exact spot. Multiple jumps stack — tap again to keep stepping back. Verse links inside your notes work the same way.
Record a sermon from the Reader.
On iPad, a Record button is now in the Reader top bar. One tap starts recording; a live timer panel docks beside the passage and a Minimize option lets you keep reading with a small pill in the bar. On iPhone, "Record a sermon" in the ⋯ menu now starts a take in one tap. The recording indicator pulses with your voice level.
Chat opens in a panel beside the passage on iPad.
Ask a question or open a chat from your Journal, Library, or a note and the conversation appears beside what you're reading — no sheet over the text. Tap "Add to note" on any finished answer to send the quote to your open note.
Study tools and the reading plan now open in the side panel on iPad.
Selecting a verse while a study tool is open narrows it to that verse — tap "Back to whole chapter" to restore the full view. The reading plan bar opens the plan in the panel instead of a sheet. Tap the margin dot beside a verse to see which of your notes mention it.
Notes open editable beside the passage on iPad.
Tap any note in the Notes tool to edit it right there in the panel. Tap a verse reference inside the note and the Reader jumps there.
Your notes save to your phone first.
If your connection drops mid-sermon, your edits are safe. Notes save to the phone the moment you type and sync when you're back online. The header shows "Saved on this phone" until the server confirms. New notes open immediately even offline, and the app warns you before signing out if any notes haven't synced yet.
Every screen works offline.
No more spinners or empty screens when you have no connection. Every screen shows what's saved on your phone with a short message about what you can't do offline. Screens load themselves when the network returns.
Fixed
Starting dictation or hold-to-talk while a sermon is recording
no longer interrupts the sermon. The mic shows "Recording in progress" instead.
A note deleted from one device
no longer reappears if you had unsent edits for it. The edits are recovered safely on the phone.
Moving a note to a folder
now shows up on all your devices.
After paying for Plus
, the "purchase being confirmed" notification now shows from any screen, not just from the chat.
The Restore button on the paywall
now shows its result below the button, not crowded into the Terms and Privacy row.
Note links inside read-only notes
now open the linked note in the app.
Cross-chapter references like Heb 4:12–5:2
in reading plans now parse and jump to the right passage.
Settings subpages
no longer show an error banner after a successful retry.
A security issue
that could let a signed-in user erase another account's search and memory data has been fixed.
The iPad Reader now shows a study panel beside the passage.
Added
The iPad Reader now shows a study panel beside the passage.
Notes, Words, Refs, Context, and Ask each have a button in a rail on the side of the screen. Tap one and it opens a panel next to what you're reading — no sheet slides up over the text. The reading column stays centred and clear.
Long notes with emoji now build your knowledge graph.
Fixed
Long notes with emoji now build your knowledge graph.
Selah splits a long note into sections before it reads it for themes, people, and beliefs. A split could land in the middle of an emoji. The database refused to save that section, so the note failed on every retry and never added anything to your graph. Splits now always fall between characters, and the failed notes are picked up again on the next retry.
Word study and Scripture search now work without an account.
Added
Word study and Scripture search now work without an account.
Open any passage in the Reader, tap a word for definitions and original-language detail, or search by verse — no sign-in needed. The AI companion still requires an account.
A verse cited more than once in a capture shows one pill in the Journal.
Fixed
A verse cited more than once in a capture shows one pill in the Journal.
Writing the same reference twice, or using short and long forms like "Rom 8:28" and "Romans 8:28", added the same pill to the Journal entry twice. Each reference now appears once.
Your highlights show up in your Journal.
Added
Your highlights show up in your Journal.
Highlight verses in the Reader and the Journal gets one row for that chapter that day, like "Highlighted 3 verses in Psalms 46", with the colours you used. Tap it to open the passage. Removing a highlight updates the row, and removing the last one removes the row.
Fixed
Dragging the edge of the notes panel in the Reader resizes the panel again.
Since early August the drag moved only the book bar at the bottom of the passage, and the notes panel stayed half the screen. A width you set is now kept after a reload.
The translation picker shows every translation on an iPad or a narrow window.
With a trackpad or mouse on a screen under 1200px wide, the list opened behind the passage, and only its top edge showed. It now opens on top.
Notes read beside the passage show their bullets, numbers and checklists.
The read view dropped the marks on bullet and numbered lists, showed links as plain text, and showed checklists without their checkboxes. A list inside a checklist item keeps its bullets too.
A long note's table of contents is readable.
In a note with many headings, each row was squeezed until its label was cut off. The list now scrolls, and top-level headings are indented like the rest.
Numbered lists with a blank line between items count 1, 2, 3.
Each item showed "1." in support chat replies and on the changelog page.
Psalm titles and "Selah" no longer show stray code in the World English Bible.
Fixed
Psalm titles and "Selah" no longer show stray code in the World English Bible.
In 211 WEB verses (mostly Psalms), the title line and the word "Selah" showed literal
<b>and<i>marks in the Reader, search results, verse previews, scripture blocks in notes, shared verses and the daily message. The title now reads as a quiet italic line and "Selah" in italics. Your highlights on those verses stay exactly where they were.
Greek and Hebrew word lookups work again for the most common words.
Fixed
Greek and Hebrew word lookups work again for the most common words.
Asking the companion — on the web, in Telegram, or through a connected assistant — about a word like agapē (G26), hagios (G40) or elohim (H430) answered that the lexicon wasn't installed. It was installed all along: those words are stored with a four-digit number (G0026), and anything shorter was never matched. Every Strong's number under 1000 was affected, which is where many of the most-quoted words live. Longer numbers, such as H7225, were always fine.
Use Selah from an AI assistant.
Added
Use Selah from an AI assistant.
Selah is now an MCP connector: add
https://selah.so/api/mcpin an assistant that supports MCP connectors (Claude, for example), sign in with your Selah account, and the assistant can read scripture, save notes, prayers and captures, search your notes, add to a note, check and mark today's reading, and start or generate a reading plan — all against your own account. Connecting creates a Selah account if you don't have one (free tier). Anything saved this way shows up in Selah marked as coming from the assistant, and you can remove the connection from the assistant's settings at any time. Nothing the assistant does can rewrite or delete existing note text, change your settings, or reach a translation Selah doesn't hold the rights to. Guide:/docs/connectors.
Fixed
Promoting a note to the Stream from the iOS app failed silently.
The app's source wasn't accepted by the Stream's validator; it is now, and app-made entries are labelled "App" instead of falling through to "Web".
The "/" Blocks menu works with a thumb.
Fixed
The "/" Blocks menu works with a thumb.
It scrolls instead of running off the bottom, opens above the caret when the keyboard is up (it was measuring the wrong viewport inside the app's note editor and opening under the keyboard), rows are a real 44px tap target on touch screens, and a tap no longer dismisses the menu before it registers. Arrowing keeps the selected row in view. Same fix on the web editor and in the app's note editor, which share the bundle.
Members who subscribed through the App Store are Plus everywhere.
The heartbeat and retention crons' candidate queries and the admin directory read the Stripe ∪ Adapty union (
plusEntitlementSql,effectivePlanUnion) instead ofplan = 'plus', so an App Store–only subscriber now receives Plus-only nudges and shows as Plus in admin. This was a documented known gap from the Adapty mirror (0140).
Changed
Privacy policy names Adapty.
In-app purchases are handled by Apple/Google with Adapty managing the subscription; the policy now says so and discloses the purchase-history and usage data shared for refund decisions. Apple requires the disclosure before any tester runs an IAP-enabled build.
A heartbeat nudge is no longer dropped when the model puts the message on the line below its tag.
Fixed
A heartbeat nudge is no longer dropped when the model puts the message on the line below its tag.
That shape parsed as empty and the nudge was silently skipped.
